The 2009 Limestoner Comp

Summary

Thanks again to everyone who helped make this year's Limestoner another great success. The Limestoner has become CTM's most important fundraiser to benefit climbing here in Central Texas, with much of the proceeds going directly to hardware maintenance and trial projects at our local parks.

Despite the rain and moving the comp to Sunday, we still had a strong turnout of 43 competitors and an additional 30 or 40 spectators. In addition, we had a number of sponsors set-up booths, including Whole Earth Provision Co., Backwoods, Inc., Dirtbag Outfitters, and Pitch Climbing. Our special guest, Joe Kinder, was a real crowd pleaser and capped the night with his climbing video show of amazing sends throughout the world in Spain, France, Canada and some places closer to home at Rifle, Colorado and Ibex, Utah. See Joe's web-site for some photos of his visit and some of the climbing he did while he was here.

The generous support of our sponsors allows us to continue to award great prizes and have valuable items at the silent auction table. All in all, it was another successful Limestoner for us and a lot of fun for all.

Thanks ya'll!
