Past CTM Presidents

02/22/2008

In an attempt to capture some CTM history before it is lost, we've pinged some of the past CTM presidents that are still around to get a list of who served and when. This will give some basic context for the history of our club which may allow us to fill in more detail into this time line (note that the events are not necessarily the work of the CTM president shown, but the timeline just gives context). We are in need of further info about climbing in and around Austin, so chime in and let us know if you have details about:

  • When was the CTCC first formed?
  • When were these areas first developed?
    • Gus Fruh
    • Seismic
    • Reimers Ranch
    • Pace Bend
    • Mount Bonnell (when was it closed?)
  • Notable climbing accidents.
  • When were waivers first introduced at Reimers?
  • When did Pseudorock open? When did it close?
Please send all additions/changes to Gary Ellis at reimerclimber@gmail.com to help us keep an accurate record of our club's history.
Thanks a lot!
